Glaston Technologies, the glass machinery and glass processing business area of Kyro Group, posted a record amount of new machinery orders in December 2004 of EUR 27.7 million. The previous monthly record was achieved in December 2003 when orders worth EUR 23.5 million were booked. The December 2004 orders raised Glaston Technologies“ order book to EUR 62.2 million (according to FAS). On 31 December 2003 the order book stood at EUR 58.8 million. Machines on order will be delivered mainly during the 1H 2005. The orders were received from all main market areas and come from both the architectural and automotive glass industries. The demand for safety glass machinery and glass processing machines and tools is increasing all over the world except in the Middle Europe where demand is still low, according to Glaston.
