The USD 3.8 million sale of the Glenshaw Glass Co., located in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, was completed on 26 October 2005. The 110-year-old bottlemaker, which had been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, has been acquired by William A. Kelman, owner of L.E. Smith Glass Co. in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Kelman said he must reach agreements with two unions before the Glenshaw Glass plant could reopen.
