Siegel-Robert Inc. announced 11 April 2008 that it sold its auto parts division, the largest part of the manufacturer“s business, to Auburn Hills, Michigan-based Guardian Industries Corp., a maker of glass and other materials for the automotive and construction industries. The sale is expected to close in May 2008. Financial details were not given. Siegel-Roberts Automotive made USD 363 million in 2006 selling grilles, door handles and other auto parts, according to Automotive News. The parent company“s total annual sales are more than USD 500 million according to the Siegel-Robert“s website. Siegel-Robert Automotive has six manufacturing facilities in the United States and one in China.
