Guardian Glass North America was recognized as an industry leader in social media at Architectural Record’s annual Advertising Excellence Awards breakfast at the recent American Institute of Architects Convention.
Four Guardian Glass tweets and one Facebook post were cited for their high levels of user engagement.
“Social media continues to grow as a way to reach our customers, and it’s important for us to include this communications tool in our advertising toolbox,” says Brian Schulz, Product Manager, Guardian Glass North America. “We’re pleased our social media messaging is resonating with Architectural Record’s readers.”

This is the sixth consecutive year Guardian Glass has been recognized by Architectural Record for its campaigns.
The social media posts promoted a combination of industry-leading tools, in-demand products and award-winning projects: Guardian’s Glass Visualizer, which illustrates photorealistic images of different SunGuard® coatings; Guardian CrystalBlue™ glass, the newest substrate in an in-demand soft, neutral blue; and SunGuard SNX 51/23 glass on 522 Lady Street, a retrofit by Lambert Architecture that utilizes high performance, low-E glass that combines high visual light transmittance with low solar heat gain.
In addition to Guardian Glass’ winning social media posts, an Architectural Record continuing education article sponsored by Guardian Glass was recognized for its participation rate, demonstrating high interest among architects.
The awards were part of a successful AIA Expo for Guardian, which showcased its industry-leading glass products and tools via the Guardian Glass Solutions Hub, and also offered a continuing education program on the evolution of glass and high performance coatings.
