Architectural Record presented its 17th annual awards to 62 individual companies and agencies at a breakfast during the AIA 2013 National Convention and Design Exposition, with winners chosen from the best of more than 150 advertisements.
Guardian Industries won an Architectural Record “Excellence in Advertising” Award for its integrated online banner campaign promoting new products and advanced glazings in the SunGuard portfolio of glass coatings for commercial applications.
Architectural Record, a McGraw-Hill Construction publication, presented its 17th annual awards to 62 individual companies and agencies at a breakfast during the AIA 2013 National Convention and Design Exposition in Denver on 21 June. The winners were chosen from the best of more than 150 advertisements, according to a jury of architects.
“We are honoured to be recognized by Architectural Record and appreciate the insight the judges provided during the awards programme,” said Chris Dolan, director, Commercial Glass Marketing, Guardian Industries. “It is exciting that our ads were able to attract the attention of the judges in a crowded and creative field of competitors.”
The winning banner ads, designed by Carton Donofrio Partners, Inc., appeared on Architectural Record’s website, and were judged for content and graphic presentation by a jury of 10 architects from across the country.
The judges recognized the Guardian SunGuard ads for “clean animation and design” in promoting the advanced glazing products.
The award was part of an exciting AIA Expo for Guardian, which included two new product launches. The new BIM Generator, a cutting-edge, web-based BIM solution, and SunGuard Neutral 78/65, which helps architects meet new energy codes in heating-dominated climates, headlined the SunGuard collection. Additionally, Guardian displayed Guardian InGlass interior glass products and Guardian ClimaGuard products for residential applications.
