Gulf Glass 2013 exhibition moves to Dubai

Gulf Glass has moved to Dubai for the 2013 edition, with reservations on 20% of the available space received before the news was made widely available at the recently-held China Glass exhibition.

Gulf Glass, the only dedicated glass exhibition series for the entire Middle East, has relocated to Dubai for the 2013 edition in a move that has delighted the global glass industry.
“Since starting the exhibition in 2007, we have worked continuously to get ourselves located within the Dubai World Trade Centre,” says Derek Burston, exhibition director, “and finally after five years of lobbying, we have managed to achieve that aim.”
Situating the exhibition within Dubai has already received an enthusiastic response from the glass industry, with reservations on 20% of the available space received before the news was made widely available at the China Glass exhibition in Shanghai from 2-5 April.
“There are other construction shows in the region,” adds Burston, “but none have the glass focus that our exhibitors and customers want. Gulf Glass delivers a constantly high quality of visitor, and the move to Dubai will cement its place in the calendar. At Gulf Glass you don’t get the ‘general’ visitor, but one who is a glass producing and using decision maker.”
“The response has been great. Not only from a venue perspective, but also in the new timing. By moving from our traditionally March slot, to September, we have been able to put a year between ourselves and glasstec. Not only will this help companies to spread their budgets more effectively, but it will also mean that Dubai can act not just as a regional hotspot, but as a global meeting place. Dubai is a gateway to the world, not just MENA, and we believe that this will draw an even greater international visitor community, and help position Gulf Glass as a ‘must attend’ biennial show,” he concludes, “a global show in a global hotspot”.
Gulf Glass 2013 will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 3-5 September 2013.
