Hegla increases production site

Hegla has celebrated its latest development, the new Plant 3 at its Beverungen site, with a barbecue for staff and tradespeople who worked on the transformation.

The addition of almost 10,000 m² of production space marks yet another investment by HEGLA in the Beverungen site. An opportunity for Hegla to acquire a 45,000 m2 plot of land directly adjacent along with several production halls became available in 2014, and the company seized the opportunity. Extensive renovation and restoration work commenced in February.
Managing Director Bernhard Hötger regards the expansion as an important step. “The additional production capacities will enable us to further optimise our internal processes and procedures, thereby aligning the HEGLA Group and our facility in Beverungen with future market requirements and strengthening them in the long term”, says Bernhard Hötger.
By early July, the RAPIDLINE product line, a cutting line for flat glass specially developed for export, was started at the newly christened HEGLA Plant 3. Since then, more than 10 cutting lines have been manufactured in the new plant and delivered to HEGLA customers worldwide.
“This investment puts HEGLA in a strong position for the future”, concludes Bernhard Hötger. “We continue to focus on our production activities in Germany and, therefore, on our employees here, who contribute every day to the success of our business”.
The Hegla Group was founded in 1976 and operates three production and distribution facilities in Germany along with numerous sales offices and commercial agencies abroad. Our product portfolio consists primarily of machinery and systems for handling, cutting, and sorting flat glass for use in the high-rise construction, automotive, and solar industries.
