High-resolution large-format glass printing by Cefla

Cefla will present the J-Print MP at Vitrum 2017

Cefla Finishing, the world-leading provider of surface finishing and decoration solutions, will soon be taking part in the 2017 edition of the biennial Vitrum fair, to be held in Milan from 3rd to 6th October. In hall 7 (stand B01- C02) Cefla will be presenting the “J-Print MP”, the inkjet printing platform that allows users to make ultra-high definition reproductions of any pattern or photograph on glass surfaces. The platform covers a considerable size range, all the way up to the largest formats.
“J-Print MP” can print from file (drawings or photos easily acquired from any standard USB pendrive). The graphics software features a user-friendly interface that lets operators process the image in terms of shade or resolution. It can also divide the image into separate frames where surfaces are made up of multiple elements. The printer uses a vitrifiable ink, which can be tempered at high temperatures and ensures ultra-high colour stability over time. Moreover, the ink is resistant to the abrasion that can result from contact with other materials and also offers excellent resistance to weathering. That’s why it’s particularly suitable for application on architectural glass, doors and shower cubicles and as an interior design element.
Seizing the potential of digital personalisation and applying it to high-definition printing on large formats lies at the very core of Cefla Finishing’s digital innovation. Such innovation is the result of continuous research and knowing how to successfully combine extensive industrial experience (and unmatched expertise in advanced finishing technology) with the know-how developed following the takeover, a year ago, of JetSet, acknowledged as an Italian provider of true excellence in the digital printing field.
