Polish lead glass manufacturer HSK Violetta SA, controlled by Warsaw Stock Exchange-listed glassworks HSG Irena SA, reported a PLN 1.9 million (USD 575,000/EUR 459,000) net loss on sales revenue of PLN 39.3 million (USD 11.9 million/EUR 9.5 million) for 2004, HSG Irena said. No comparative figures for 2003 were available. HSG Irena owns 58.6% of HSK Violetta shares of a book value of PLN 14.4 million (USD 4.4 million/EUR 3.5 million). HSK Violetta is based in Stronie Slaskie, southern Poland, and was set up in 1864. The consolidated net profit of HSG Irena fell to PLN 1.7 million (USD 514,000/EUR 410,000) for 2004 from PLN 4.1 million (USD 1.2 million/EUR 990,000) for 2003. HSG Irena increased its sales revenue to PLN 96.5 million (USD 29.2 million/EUR 23.3 million) for 2004 from PLN 83.7 million (USD 25.3 million/EUR 20.2 million) for 2003, it was reported on 8 March 2005.
