A Belgian court has rejected a move by the Belgian catering trade aimed at forcing brewer Inbev to withdraw a new series of beer glasses, Belgian daily L“Echo reported 30 January 2007. Inbev introduced larger beer glasses for its Jupiler brand in 2006. Operators and proprietors of bars, cafes and restaurants represented by catering association Horeca said larger measures in larger glasses are hitting their profits. The court ruled that forcing Inbev to reintroduce its smaller glasses was not “economically justifiable”, the paper reported.
