The MADE Awards aim to promote knowledge and excellence of the products, processes and services of the exhibitors at MADE Expo. They recognize the most innovative companies in the Construction and Building Envelope exhibitions, with a special space for sustainable innovations. Each exhibitor can participate, entirely free of charge, by registering one single product/process/service for each category of the MADE Awards.
Pilkington Italia was awarded at the MADE Expo for the innovative electro-conductive glass NSG TEC™. After the product was selected by a jury of technical experts to be included in the strict group of finalists, the final choice was made by the trade fair community on social media.
The NSG TEC™ electro-conductive glass won the MADE Award 2023 in the Envelope, façades and roofing, glass category. For the jury chaired by architect Luca Molinari, NSG TEC™ is “a technological innovation that raises the performance benchmark of thermally controlled glass and which sets itself as a new performance reference for the market.”
Pilkington Italia’s Porto Marghera team, consisting of: Nicolò Padoan, Commercial Director, Arturo Benini, Technical Advisor and Marketing Manager and Eugenia Santoleri, Marketing Assistant, received the award during the MADE fair.
Nicolò Padoan thanked the jury, stating that he was happy to continue to innovate in glass with a solution such as NSG TEC™, which aims to provide an additional function for the window: the ability to heat rooms, meeting the process of electrification of environments.
NSG TEC™ ‒ the active glazing
NSG TEC™, developed and manufactured by NSG Group, is a transparent low-emissivity glass with electrically conductive properties. Thanks to them, glass is perfect for heating your home, complementing or replacing a traditional heating system. Large glass surfaces allow for sufficient power to heat rooms while maintaining the glass surface temperature between 35 to 45 degrees Celsius. Heating solutions using this glass ensure comfortable thermal conditions, not only in residential buildings but also in hotels and accommodation facilities.
