CRV srl of Trani (southern Italy), involved in the processing of glass waste sourced from local authorities as well as glass firms, has been seized by a police environmental unit. The legal representatives of the company have been accused of illegal waste management. Investigations revealed alleged irregularities in the way the waste glass was delivered to facilities and companies involved in glass recovery and recycling. According to investigators, coordinated by Trani magistrate Antonio Savastano, CRV did not indicate the origin and type of material, nor was it accompanied by the required documentation to certify the nature of the waste, and it was passed off instead as raw material.
