From January to June 2016 the industrial site of JSC Plant Screen (RATM Holding asset) produced 71,818 tons of glass – 34% more than the same period last year.
Figures in units of glass containers increased by 27% – up to 203.3 million shares. This includes 26 million bottles fired NNBP technology (Narrow Neck Press and Blow – narrow-pressovyduvanie), which reduces the weight of the product by 20-25% while maintaining strength properties.
Moreover, the production of lightweight bottles showed almost a threefold increase compared to the first half of 2015, said chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Plant Screen, Paul Boboshik.
According to Mr Boboshik, production breakthrough was made possible thanks to the implementation of a large-scale investment program to modernize the capacities of glass, at a total value of about 650 million rubles. Repairs were made to glass melting furnace №5 and a complete renovation of the furnace №2 was undertaken. As a consequence, in the first half of the daily performance compared with January-June 2015 rose by 26% and amounted to 440 tons of glass, or 1.2 million units of glass. The volume of glass sales compared with the first half of 2015 increased by 26% – up to 205.3 million units, and revenues by 45% – up to 1.106 billion rubles.

According to Mr Boboshik, the company is currently nearing completion work on equipping the glass furnace №2 line for production of colored glassware, including a special coloring feeder, glass-blowing equipment and inspection machines. The volume of investments – 200 million rubles. With the conveyor production will increase to 40 million colored bottles a year. Orders for these products have already been received from Omskvinprom LLC and JSC Irkutsk mineral water factory.
