Jushi and Gibson Fiberglass have restarted the 70,000 mt furnace which uses Jushi“s state-of-the-art fiber manufacturing technology in Jiujiang, Jiangxi province, China, after demolishing the original 30,000 mt per year furnace. This new furnace, says Gibson Fiberglass, incorporates technology which significantly improves the quality and consistency of final products and is in line with Jushi“s Environmental Stewardship commitment. Jushi decided to increase the capacity of the Jiujiang facility to better serve the rapidly growing Chinese composites market while relieving pressure on exports, said Joe Peng, president of Gibson Fiberglass. We anticipate increased demand from the burgeoning wind energy market globally, and are investing during the down economy to be in a position to serve the future needs of the composites market worldwide. At present, Jushi, which has With a capacity of over 870,000 metric tons,is the second largest fiberglass reinforcement manufacturer in the world and the largest in China.
