According to data recently released by authoritative sites, operating income of float glass is 11 billion in the first two months of 2014, up 1.32％ from a year earlier, with sales growth down by 11.51%; total profit is 1.3 billion, with sales growth down by 493.54%. The sales for float glass in March, 2014 were no better than the first two months. It was concluded that the reason why the Chinese market for float glass was tough in the first quarter of 2014 was the poor performance of the construction industry during this period. Up to April 18th, 2014, the Composite Index of China’s glass is 982.24, showing a decline of 1.67% compared with March 2014 and the index of confidence in China’s glass industry is 1017.56, increasing by 0.08%.
