Libbey Foodservice has taken Best in Class and other top honors in the 2004 Tabletop Performance Awards sponsored by Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine. For the fourth consecutive year, Libbey Foodservice took “Overall Best in Class” for Product Manufacturers in Glassware. Libbey also won second place honors for Dinnerware/Chinaware, and third place honors for Flatware in the class. Winners are chosen from a survey of dealers, consultants, and broadliners who subscribe to the magazine. Quality products are the key to being named a preferred provider as well as service, support, and flexibility. Libbey was also named “Dealers Best in Class” for Glassware and Dinnerware/Chinaware and “Broadliners Best in Class” for Glassware. “We“re extremely pleased to continually take Best in Class,” said Jay Achenbach, corporate marketing manager, Libbey Foodservice. “Our brands and increasing product lines cover the full spectrum of tabletop needs – and it“s gratifying to know our customers think of Libbey Foodservice when they think of the total tabletop.” Quoted in the magazine, Rob Bules, Libbey“s vice president of foodservice sales, said, “We want to develop relationships with everyone in our partners“ organizations, from the principals down to the people on the docks. That way, they all know that they can call us for help, guidance, advice, training, or ideas at any time.” Based in Toledo, Ohio, Libbey operates glass tableware manufacturing plants in Louisiana, Ohio, and in the Netherlands.
