Mappi International hosts PMI Day 2019

Mappi hosted students from Guglielmo Marconi high school as part of PMI Day 2019 to explore the design and production of the company's tempering furnaces

Mappi opened its doors to high school students, who in a few years will become the candidates to transform themselves from spectators into actors in the production of tempering furnaces. This meeting was part of PMI Day 2019, an initiative of Confindustria (the Italian industry association), which reached its tenth edition this year.

This year the students came from Guglielmo Marconi high school in Latina. Accompanied by their professors, they met with the Mappi staff, exploring the different phases of the design and production of machines as complex and refined as Mappi tempering furnaces.

The most important topic that students will study this year is Industry 4.0, which for some years has been at the center of the company’s evolutionary path, both through the implementation of complex control systems and with functionality increasingly refined, both in close collaboration with Siemens and its MindSphere system, which brings 4.0 in the industry to a level never reached before.

Mappi is a company that has always invested in young people, in innovation, in professionalism. The company was happy to participate in the PMI Day 2019, and stands ready to welcome the 2020 edition.
