S / A has informed its shareholders and the market in general that, in continuity with its investment programme, the initial stage of expansion at the Suzano / SP unit, with the installation of the first production lines of the third furnace, is now fully operational. The implementation of these lines allows the production of glassware for table use and microwave cooking, as well as glass packaging, especially for food.
The operation of these new lines, together with those previously existing at the Suzano / SP unit, allow the transfer of glass production unit Vila Maria – São Paulo / SP for that unit. The equipment used in production lines Vila Maria unit will also be relocated. The company has made efforts to minimize the consequences of this situation and offered employees directly affected the opportunity of transfer, support transition, consistent with the best market practices.
