New generation at HEGLA Satteldorf and Kretzschau

Hans-Peter Löhner, Managing Director of HEGLA Fahrzeugbau, has retired and Steve Quahl is the new Managing Director, Marc-Alexander Stachel is the new Managing Director in Satteldorf

After more than 41 years at HEGLA Fahrzeugbau, the Managing Director of many years, Hans-Peter Löhner, has retired.

“I worked at HEGLA for 500 months – a long and exciting time during which we invested a great deal of commitment, ideas and team spirit to become the market leader for transport attachments,” said Hans-Peter Löhner to describe his life’s work. “My retirement marks a new phase in my life. I will have more time for my family: my wife, my children and grandchildren are all waiting for me.”

Marc-Alexander Stachel: the new Managing Director in Satteldorf
Marc-Alexander Stachel has been the new Managing Director of HEGLA Fahrzeugbau since 1 June. He joined the company in 2017 and gained insight into and experience of his future tasks by working alongside Hans-Peter Löhner.

The 44-year-old engineer with many years of experience in automotive engineering is looking forward to having even closer contact with customers. “Hans-Peter Löhner and his team have left a very strong footprint and set a highly successful course that we will continue on together,” said Marc-Alexander Stachel.

The HEGLA Group wishes Hans-Peter Löhner all the best, excellent health and much fun in life. “With his humorous, open and constructive personality, Hans-Peter Löhner earned the esteem of everyone at HEGLA and will leave quite a gap here upon retiring. At the same time, we look forward to working with Marc-Alexander Stachel, who is already admired greatly,” summarised HEGLA Group Managing Director Bernhard Hötger.

Steve Quahl becomes the Managing Director of HEGLA Kretzschau
At HEGLA Maschinenbau in Kretzschau, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, there is a new addition to the Management team. “In Kretzschau, our turnover has more than doubled in the past 10 years with products related to storage technology and handling. It is now time to take a decisive step to adapt the Management team there to match this growth,” explained Bernhard Hötger.

The industrial engineer Steve Quahl (36 years old) assumed responsibility for HEGLA Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG on 1 July 2022 and is bringing his many years of experience to the position of Managing Director.

Since March 2021, Steve Quahl has been the local Branch Manager. “I look forward to continuing our collaboration,” said Bernhard Hötger. “Steve Quahl can rely on a strong team of 75 employees. The East German company is not only an important and successful member of the HEGLA Group, but has also become a major economic factor for the region in Saxony-Anhalt.”
