Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope and EnduroShield complete One WTC Spire

One WTC is tentatively the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the third-tallest building in the world by pinnacle height, thanks to the installation of a 408-foot, 758-ton spire, with glass panels supplied by Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, treated with EnduroShield glass treatment.

The final installation of the One World Trade Center antenna is now complete with the installation of a 408-foot, 758-ton spire.
At a symbolic 1,776 feet, commemorating the year of the United States Declaration of Independence, One WTC is tentatively the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the third-tallest building in the world by pinnacle height.
Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope supplied the glass panels for the building’s spire and applied EnduroShield glass treatment to the exterior side of the glass panels of the antenna’s steel frame structure before installation.
EnduroShield chemically bonds to the glass substrate, and protects the surface against staining and etching.
