Italian decorative glass company OmniDecor Spa has moved all production lines from the Erba facility in northern Italy to its recently expanded plant at Giulianova, in Teramo province
The consolidation of OmniDecor’s production to the Giulianova plant will offer logistic benefits and allow for increased production efficiency, according to company officials.
The Giulianova plant, which has been in operation since 2001 with two production lines, is strategically located near the main Italian highway hubs, Rome Fiumicino airport, and the main Italian ports.
The new production site is now operating with five modern production lines. Customers will not feel the impact of the move, as neither production nor delivery are affected.
“The new organization gives a lot of energy and enthusiasm to every one of us, and we are ready to launch new and on-trend products on the market,” says Ferruccio Bresciani, owner and sole administrator of OmniDecor Spa.
All affected employees at the original Erba plant were offered positions at the expanded Giulianova facility, and some decided to move with the company. OmniDecor has been in negotiations with unions representing workers who did not accept the new positions.
