Pre-tax profit at Russian organic glass producer Orgsteklo was up 100% year-on-year in the first nine months of 1999 to amount to Rbs 2.49 million, said the company. Accounts payable at the company increased 0.3% from the start of the year to reach Rbs 579.2 million by 1 October. Sales revenue in the first nine months amounted to Rbs 354.1 million, up 138% year-on-year. Production in the first nine months of the year amounted to Rbs 254.4 million, up 70% from the same period in 1998. Capacity utilization at the plant increased from 18% to 40%. Orgsteklo charter capital amounts to Rbs 749,900, split into 562,422 common and 187,474 preferred shares with a par value of 1 ruble.
