Owens Corning materials plant in NC to employ 110

Owens Corning plans to build a new building materials plant in North Carolina which expects to employ 110 workers in about three years. The glass fiber factory involves investments of more than USD 120 million, and is scheduled to be ready in a year.

Construction and industrial-materials company Owens Corning plans to build a new building materials plant in North Carolina that’s scheduled to employ 110 workers in about three years.
The company plans to invest more than USD 120 million in this glass fiber factory in Gastonia, expected to be ready in about a year.
Local business recruiters say the company could get property tax breaks and real estate worth more than USD 13 million. State officials said the project could get almost USD 2 million more in tax breaks and worker training if it meets hiring and investment targets.
Toledo, Ohio-based Owens Corning had sales of more than USD 5 billion in 2012 and employs 15,000 employees in 27 countries.
