Suzanne P. Nimocks, a retired director of McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm, has been elected to Owens Corning’s Board of Directors, with effect as of 12 September 2012.
Owens Corning has elected Suzanne P. Nimocks to the company’s Board of Directors effective 12 September 2012. Ms. Nimocks is a retired director of McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm.
“We are delighted to welcome Suzanne to our Board of Directors,” said Owens Corning Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mike Thaman. “Suzanne is knowledgeable in energy and basic materials industries with a very global orientation. Her experiences and perspectives will be valuable to our Company.”
Ms. Nimocks is a member of several Boards of Directors, including Encana, a natural gas exploration and production company based in Calgary, Canada; Rowan Companies, London, UK, a drilling contractor; ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel company and Valerus, a privately held natural gas compression company based in Houston, Texas. She also serves as Chair of the Board of the Houston Zoo.
While at McKinsey & Company, Ms. Nimocks served clients in energy, logistics, manufacturing and professional services industries on a broad range of strategy, corporate finance, business building, portfolio management, operations, organization and risk-management issues.
