In response to the US Department of Commerce’s preliminary decision on antidumping tariffs for Chinese solar cells and modules, several Chinese photovoltaic enterprises and institutions held a joint press conference.
Suntech, Trina solar, Jiangsu PV Industry Association, Zhejiang Photovoltaic Association, New Energy Chamber of Commerce of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce and other Chinese photovoltaic enterprises and institutions held a joint press conference on 24 May in response to the US Department of Commerce’s preliminary decision on antidumping tariffs for Chinese solar cells and modules.
The vice chairman of CCCME SHI Yonghong expressed: “The competitive advantage of Chinese product has nothing to do with dumping. Respondent enterprises’ right has not been fully guaranteed. Furthermore, China exported photovoltaic cells to America, which didn’t cause damage to American relevant industry. All in all, anti-dumping duties make situations worse for all involved.”
