From its beginnings in 1898 when Edward Ford created a new “company town” focused on glass making to today, Rossford, Ohio, USA, has been known as a community that families and businesses have proudly called home. From Libbey-Owens-Ford to Pilkington to NSG Group today.
A host of events took place for the culmination of the 2023 celebration of Rossford’s 125th Anniversary and NSG Group was proud to be a sponsor for such a momentous occasion. The events blended live music, arts, food, kid’s events, fireworks and hospitality to celebrate the historic milestone.
The afternoon of Friday, July 28, featured tours of Pilkington‘s Rossford plant and the participants were thrilled and thankful for the opportunity to peek inside the big plant. That night was the official grand opening at the Rossford High School and Saturday’s events included the 125th Anniversary Parade in the morning and concluded with a very special 125th Anniversary Riverfest Celebration that evening.
David Imbrogno, Rossford Plant Manager, said, “Being part of 125 years of Rossford history is humbling. We have met many retirees throughout the anniversary celebrations and with each discussion, there is a tremendous amount of pride and passion. We appreciate knowing we are here because of the hard work of those that have come before us. What an amazing history that we get to be a part of.”
