Piramal Glass has recently ordered the latest generation EVOLUTION camera-based inspection equipment for its Kosamba glassworks in Gujarat, India.
Manufactured by IRIS Inspection machines, the order comprises two EVOLUTION 12 and two EVOLUTION 5 machines for base and finish inspection, which will be used for the on-line inspection of pharmaceutical vials. Installation is scheduled for early 2016.
Piramal Glass has been successfully using EVOLUTION equipment for sidewall
inspection for three years and is pleased with the operational results achieved, and so is purchasing further IRIS equipment. Area Sales Manager, Sonia Podleiszekova has been the face of IRIS Inspection machines in India since 2013, as well as representing the company’s interests in North, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS countries. Ms Podleiszekova confirmed that the latest generation EVOLUTION inspection technology sold to Piramal Glass features improved image resolution and display, as well as upgraded computers.
The EVOLUTION range now provides better performance than ever, thanks to its
upgraded PC, bigger HD touch screen (21.5in), new HD cameras and innovative software. Within its specially designed processing unit, IRIS has reduced maintenance costs via the innovative design and assembly employed. The high resolution cameras are 400% more powerful, providing sharper and more accurate images, as well as improved discrimination between different types of defects (eg small stones and blisters), better definition of container shapes and excellent dark glass inspection capabilities. They also
feature higher dynamics in terms of noise interference, thereby improving image quality.
