Poland: second largest EU exporter of doors and windows

According to estimates made by ASM Centrum Badań i Analiz Rynku based on Eurostat data, the value of total window and door production in Poland was EUR 2.3 billion, while exports amounted to EUR 0.9 billion, making the country the second largest exporter in the EU behind Germany, which exported EUR 1.1 billion worth of doors and windows.

Poland is becoming one of Europe’s largest window and door manufacturers. In 2012, about 8.7 million doors and 12.8 million windows were produced in the country, according to estimates made by ASM Centrum Badań i Analiz Rynku based on Eurostat data. The value of total window and door production was EUR 2.3 billion, while exports amounted to EUR 0.9 billion. This makes Poland the second largest exporter in the EU behind Germany, which exported EUR 1.1 billion worth of doors and windows.
Rising demand in Europe is fuelled by a trend to make buildings more energy efficient by installing better windows and doors, therefore creating a chance for Polish companies in the growing European market.
