Polysolar has opened a new R&D office in the UK, to allow it to expand development.
PV company Polysolar has opened a new research and development office at the Printed Electronics Technology Centre (PETEC) in the UK.
The company is currently working with glassmaker Pilkington, and chemical company Solvay, on developing its photovoltaic glazing based on low cost organic polymers. The new office will allow it to expand development, which could lead to transparent organic PV glazing for building integration.
Polysolar’s existing OPV panels already deliver 25% more power than conventional PV options, while remaining lower in price.
