Pomdi to exhibit at Cuba Glass 2016

Pomdi will show its complete range of diamond tools dedicated to the glass industry at Cuba Glass this year.

Herramientas de Diamante, S.A., under the trade name of POMDI, has been manufacturing diamond tools for more than 40 years. Right from the start, Pomdi’s aim has always been to offer clients in a wide variety of industrial sectors superabrasive industrial diamond and cubic boron nitride (CBN) machining solutions. Pomdi now supplies its products to clients working in a large number and variety of industrial markets. Many products are dedicated to the flat glass processing:
– 3NEO® Diamond Wheels System: it works on 95 per cent of straight-line edgers and bevellers – even those working up to three shifts without stopping. In these situations, the need of quick and easy changeover of the worn diamond tools is a must. Therefore, the 3NEO® diamond wheels system enables to change a whole sets of tools of a 10- to 12-motor machine in only two minutes per wheel, instead of the normal 8-10 minutes per motor. Moreover, thanks to Pomdi’s bond, the wheels deliver their expected finishing in only a few meters of glass after installing them on the machine. Obviously, this level of speed goes hand in hand with the highest standards of processing and grinding quality. the glass, optics, stone, metallurgy, synthetic materials and technical ceramics sectors.
– Core drills and split countersinks: stainless steel; laser welded – they never break; self re-profilable – they always cut, no need to re-profile them from time to time; drill thickness of only 0.8 millimeters – very thin, better entry; shaped for better cooling – better work.
– Pink and white Cerium oxide – Glossex®.
– Peripheral Wheels, series ECO®: new line of peripheral wheels for CNC and manual edgers, as well as straight and double edgers.
– 3NEO® Polishing wheels: set of wheels especially for straight and double edgers.
Pomdi always tries to develop products which enable its customers to save on time and costs and in order to achieve this goal the company takes care of the complete chain of its technologies: design, manufacturing and quality control.
Pomdi has been focusing its efforts on internationalization since the early 1990s and currently has a sales presence in many countries. According to the company, Cuba is one of the major developing countries in Latin America, therefore Pomdi will explore the local market by exhibiting at Cuba Glass.
