US-based PPG Industries Inc. (PPG) plans to acquire GlasPac Total Solutions, a maker of business software for the auto glass replacement industry. Financial terms were not disclosed. In a recent press release, PPG, a chemicals, resins, glass and fibreglass products producer, said the acquisition will allow it to build an electronic network of services for the auto replacement glass industry. GlasPac Total, Portland, Ore., becomes GTS Services when the transaction is complete, and will operate as a separate company, PPG said.
