Pujol acquires the EVASA production unit to expand EVALAM production

PUJOL GROUP, the Spanish company owner of Hornos Industriales Pujol, S.A., worldwide leader in manufacturing of glass lamination ovens, has acquired 100% of EVASA production unit, located in La Coruña, Galicia, in the North West of Spain

Thanks to this new investment, the production of EVALAM -specialized brand and international reference for architectural EVA, 100 percent propriety of Pujol Group– will see a significant increase, since two new and massive production lines will be incorporated in the group. Among them, a 2.6-meter-wide line that, in 2020, will transform the La Coruña company into an EVA unique factory with capacity to produce the widest pieces in the world.

In this way Pujol Group will increase the surface of its production facilities by 50 percent; 9,000sqm for production and another 8,000sqm destined to any future expansion. The team structure will be of 70 people and the group will strengthen its current position of leadership in the laminated glass market and will offer better service to its customers.

The extension of the productive plant is included in the ambitious expansion plan of the company, based on a growth strategy that has led the company to be present in more than 90 countries. This will allow Pujol Group to face with full confidence the fulfilment of the high level of quality and safety of its materials, either for its current products, or future developments aimed at solving any kind of problem of the architectural market or other future markets that could diversify the current EVALAM range of products.

Furthermore, Joaquin Pujol, Sales Director of Pujol, said, “Given the growing demand, year after year, of our interlayers, the incorporation of this new production unit was needed in order to maintain product quality and service ratio excellence.”
