Asahi Glass Company (China) has recently acquired Qinhuangdao Haiyan Safety Glass Company to become the second largest auto glass producer in China. Asahi Glass Company (China) is wholly owned by Japan“s Asahi Glass Company. It invested more than USD 33 million in the phase one project with a designed annual production capacity of 1.6 million sets of autoglass. The total investment has gone up to USD 61 million and the annual production capacity will increase by 1.2 million sets. Asahi Glass Company (China) was set up in September 2003.
