Quinn Glass not included in QBRC bid

Quinn Glass will not be part of the take-over bid of QBRC. At the same time, the recent name change to Encirc means that QBRC will carefully review the brand audit and report which has led to the decision to rebrand.

More doubts have been cast over the future of Quinn Glass after the name of the business was rebranded just days after the Quinn Business Retention Company (QBRC) – which includes a number of former Quinn managers – tabled its bid for parts of the former Quinn Group.
Quinn Glass is recognised as the jewel in the crown of the Aventas Group following significant annual turnover of GBP 300m making it the most profitable business among the former Quinn Group.
It now means that Quinn Glass will now operate as, Encirc.
QBRC said it had initially decided not to comment publicly on its offer in order to give the board of Aventas sufficient time to consider their offer, but that the glass announcement had meant that it now had to clarify its position.
A statement from QBRC said: “Whilst this rebranding is a matter for the board of Aventas, under the Quinn Glass brand, the glass business currently generates circa EUR 300m of turnover.
“Therefore, if successful in acquiring the glass business, QBRC will carefully review the brand audit and report which has led to the decision to rebrand.”
