Registration opens for the 2024 FGIA Virtual Western Region Summit

Registration is now open for the 2024 Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) Western Region Virtual Summit, taking place July 16. Industry professionals in the Western Region of the USA are encouraged to register now to participate in this one-day online event packed with important industry topics. The preliminary schedule is now available.

“We are proud of this line-up of great topics and speakers,” said Florica Vlad, FGIA Events Manager. “Participate in this summit to understand the latest developments in codes and legislation in Western Region states.”

This event will feature speakers from key western states to discuss critical legislative and code topics related to the proposed changes in California Title 24 U-factor and solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) requirements in the next version of the building energy efficiency standards. Presenters will then cover Colorado’s potential decision to shift from ENERGY STAR, as mandated in current state law, to align with the 2024 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).

The Circular Action Alliance, an approved organization to implement Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws for paper and packaging in California and Colorado, will discuss compliance with extended producer responsibility laws for packaging in these Western states. In the afternoon, the CalFire chief will provide insight on California’s Wildland Urban Interface Codes compliance, and the day will wrap up with information on PFAS and how manufacturers can reduce potential risks.

Registration
Through June 17, FGIA members can register for this one-day event for a fee of USD 125. After this early bird rate ends, members can register for USD 225. Non-members can register for USD 360. A company upgrade for up to 10 individuals is available.
