The Ana Hotels Group’s Europa hotel in Eforie, a seaside resort in Romania, wanted to modernize its façade. Saint-Gobain Romania was able to demonstrate its expertise by responding to the project and utilizing all the potential of its Călăraşi plant.
70 tonnes of glass were removed, recovered and remelted to create new glazing. A concrete demonstration of the Group’s commitment to its purpose of “Making the World a Better Home,” in perfect harmony with customer expectations.
“We’ve demonstrated that our concern for the environment goes beyond words and is reflected in concrete action, whether recycling achieved with the help of Saint-Gobain, or adopting energy-saving systems to reduce our impact on the environment and the local community,” said Iuliana Tasie, General Manager of Ana Hotels Europa.
In 2021, Călăraşi commissioned a facility to process and sort cullet, with a view to its recycling and reuse in the production process. By the end of 2024, this initiative had already avoided more than 8,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
