Saint-Gobain Sekurit India standalone net profit rises

In the March 2015 quarter, Sain-Gobain Sekurit India saw an increase of 490.48% in net profit, with sales on the up by 22.20% to Rs 32.75 crore for the same period.

Net profit of Saint-Gobain Sekurit India rose 490.48% to Rs 1.24 crore in the quarter ended March 2015 as against Rs 0.21 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2014. Sales rose 22.20% to Rs 32.75 crore in the quarter ended March 2015 as against Rs 26.80 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2014.
For the full year, net profit rose 1546.34% to Rs 6.75 crore in the year ended March 2015 as against Rs 0.41 crore during the previous year ended March 2014. Sales rose 28.68% to Rs 131.19 crore in the year ended March 2015 as against Rs 101.95 crore during the previous year ended March 2014.
Saint-Gobain Sekurit India is the Indian subsidiary of Saint-Gobain Sekurit France. Sekurit India has two manufacturing plants located near Pune – at Chakan for laminated windshields and at Bhosari for tempered side and back glasses – with a combined capacity of more than 600,000 car sets per annum. The company has 178 employees and both the plants are certified ISO 14001, TS16469 and OHSAS 18001.
