Saint-Gobain: Solar Gard earns LEED certification

Two of the technical services team members of the Solar Gard subsidiary of Saint-Gobain have achieved LEED certification as Green Associates. To achieve certification, the two members had to demonstrate a broad understanding of sustainability in areas including site sustainability, water management, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources management, indoor environmental quality, innovation in design and regional priority.

Saint-Gobain’s Solar Gard subsidiary has announced that two of its technical services team members, Gene Kogan and Anthony Dominguez, have achieved LEED certification as Green Associates.
The LEED Green Associate certification is a Green Building Certification Institute credential for professionals who have demonstrated a knowledge and understanding of green building practices needed to support the use of leadership in energy and environmental design, construction and operation of buildings and neighbourhoods.
“This is fantastic news for Gene, Anthony and Solar Gard as a whole as we continue striving to develop innovative solutions for the home and building markets,” says Kathryn Giblin, director of global marketing and technical services. “Having two LEED Green Associates is testament to the strength of our technical services team and our ongoing commitment to environmental leadership. This knowledge will help dealers make more informed, sustainable choices when it comes to our window film products.”
