The European Commission is reportedly investigating German Schott AG on suspicion of illegal price arrangements in its television glass units, after raiding the company“s head office in early March 2009. A spokesman for Schott said that the company is cooperating with the watchdog with regards to the data the Commission had obtained concerning the TV and display glass market in March. However, the authority had not specified the reason of the move. A spokeswoman for Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes at the European commission said “We do not give the names of companies where raids have taken place”.
