Sisecam Flat Glass attended the Yapi-TurkeyBuild Istanbul 2017 Exhibition held on 23-27 May 2017 at Istanbul Beylikdüzü Tüyap Fair and Congress Center.
Leader of the Turkish flat-glass market, and the largest producer of Europe, Sisecam Flat Glass attended the TurkeyBuild Istanbul 2017 Exhibition, one of the most prestigious events of the industry held for the 40th time this year. The company introduced a wide range of products from structural glazing and decoration to safety, security and noise control.
At the exhibition held on 23-27 May 2017 at Istanbul Beylikdüzü Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, the company met with sector professionals to communicate recent advances in innovative and high-tech products.
At the exhibition, Sisecam Flat Glass introduced several new products ranging from structural glazing and decoration to safety, security and noise control. At the 190 sq.m. booth of the company, leading members of the industry and their representatives were also given information on innovative and high-tech products.
At the “6th Roof and Façade Materials Awards” ceremony organized on the exhibition grounds, Sisecam Flat Glass received the “Building Façade Material of the Year” award for Temperable Solar Control low-E glass which was developed for Istanbul’s New Airport project.
The new airport will serve 90 million passengers annually after the completion of its first phase in the first quarter of 2018, and 200 million passengers annually after the completion of all phases. Sisecam Temperable Solar Control low-E glass will be used for the 200,000+ square-meter façade and roof lighting of the airport, offering efficient energy-saving, noise control, aesthetics, safety and security. It will offer a light transmittance of 51%, thus ensuring the optimum light transmission needed in the project, and a transparent design with low reflectivity. The Insulating Glass Unit to be used at the new airport allows only 29% of the solar energy to enter the building during the summer, at the same time reducing heat losses by 50% during the winter, offering savings in terms of both cooling and heating expenses.
Sisecam Flat Glass attracted significant attention since it allowed visitors to test the products on display. In addition to the glass produced for Istanbul’s New Airport, the special display section of the company’s booth also featured Sisecam Temperable Solar Control Low-E Glass Neutral 50/33, Sisecam Temperable Solar Control low-E glass Neutral 41/27 and Sisecam Ultra Clear Laminated Glass for shop windows, allowing visitors to experience the difference between these new products.
