Sisecam Group, Industrial Group from Turkey, whose main areas of activity are in producing articles of glass and chemical products, announced that its 2011 profit rose on continued capacity expansion abroad.
Ersin Ozinzhe, CEO of Sisecam said that in 2011 net profit rose 53% to 741 million TRY compared to 2010. Sales figures for 2011 were up 18% over the previous year and reached 5 billion TRY. International sales Sisecam rose 23%, reaching 2.4 billion GBP.
Industrial Group covers all major areas of glass production for businesses, such as glass, float glass, household glass, glass fiber and glass containers, as well as chromium compounds and soda.
According to the company, Sisecam now occupies a 3% fraction of world demand for glass, pushing production up to 3.7 billion USD.
