Sisecam opens Russian facility

Sisecam’s recently-opened glassmaking production site in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, has a new glass furnace, with the capacity of 210 tons a day and eight technological lines, expected to reach production of 40,000 tons a year and 141 million items a year.

Sisecam has opened a glassmaking production site in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The project includes the construction of a new plant and the installation of new equipment for the production of glassware.
The new glass furnace, with the capacity of 210 tons a day and eight technological lines, will enable to reach production of 40,000 tons a year and 141 million items a year.
“We have a lot of facilities operating on the Russian territory. This is the third factory that we are opening in the Nizhny Novgorod region, and it proves that this is the place, where we feel comfortable and where we receive support,” Sisecam CEO Ahmet Kirman said.
Sisecam decided to build the third line of glass production in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2010.
