Turkey“s Sisecam has secured a USD 140 million (EUR 109.4 million) syndicated loan under a club deal. The facility will be used to finance operations on the international market, the group said on 11 August 2006. The syndicate comprises Citibank A.S., ABN-AMRO Bank N.V., Calyonbank A.S., Fortis Bank SA/NV, HSBC Bank A.S., ING Bank N.V., Natexis Banques Populaires, Societe Generale, West LB A.G. and Rabobank International Branch. Guarantors of the loan will be Sisecam subsidiaries Pasabahce Cam Sanayi ve Ticaret, Trakya Cam Sanayi and Anadolu Cam Sanayi. The group, which made investments in its production plants in Bulgaria, Russia, Georgia and Bosnia in the last six months, has become the leading regional producer of glass and sodium carbonate, Sisecam general director Dogan Arikan said at the signing ceremony.
