Şişecam was honoured with two awards within the ‘Glass Production’ section at the 36th edition of the Annual Report Competition (ARC), organized by MerComm.
Şişecam – the only global player in all core areas of glass production, including flat glass, glassware, glass packaging and glass fibre, as well as soda and chromium compounds – won the gold award in the ‘Traditional Annual Report’ category and the Honours award with its digital annual report in the ‘Interactive Annual Reports’ category.
Şişecam is the only company in its sector to receive awards for its 2021 Annual Report in both categories of the competition, widely recognized as the ‘Oscars of Annual Reports’. This year, the competition evaluated annual reports submitted for consideration by 1,656 companies from 33 countries around the globe.
ARC Awards is a major competition widely known in business and finance circles globally. The competition brings together communication professionals and recognizes excellence in annual reports. The award evaluations consider key criteria, such as the way the report communicates the organization’s story for that year, language content, creativity, and design.
A wide range of participants submit applications for awards in the competition, including large corporations, medium-sized companies, government agencies, NGOs, and annual report agencies. ARC Awards aims to honour enterprises and organizations that develop their annual reports with creativity and innovation and to recognize their excellence internationally.
