He served as chief executive of the chemical business of Monsanto from 1986 to 1997, was an executive vice president of Monsanto from 1990 to 1997, and was also an advisory director of Monsanto from 1986 to 1997. “Bob Potter“s leadership has been invaluable to Solutia, both as our chairman and chief executive officer following the formation of the company, and then as a key member of our board of directors. Although he will be missed, we wish Bob and his family well,” said John Hunter, Solutia“s current chairman and CEO.
