A perfume flacon made by Stoelzle-Oberglas for the fragrance Reem Acra was shortlisted both in the UK Packaging Awards – category ‘Glass Pack of the Year’ – as well as in the German Packaging Awards.
Stoelzle-Oberglas has received nominations from the UK and the German Packaging Awards for one of its perfume bottles.
The flacon manufactured for the fragrance Reem Acra was shortlisted both in the UK Packaging Awards – category ‘Glass Pack of the Year’ – as well as in the German Packaging Awards.
Packaging designer Doug Lloyd of Lloyd & Co. designed the rectangular glass flacon. The bottles were fire polished to a fine finish.
For decoration, the bottle then goes through a vacuum process to achieve a metallized finish. It is digitally laser cut away to leave a golden frame around a floral and dove pattern on the front that reflects the Middle Eastern regal tradition of Ms. Acra’s Lebanese background.
A matching clear window is cut from the back, which allows the fragrance’s colour to complement the decoration.
The bottle is finally oversprayed with a clear lacquer to protect the metallized surfaces.
The Stölzle Glass group has its headquarters in Austria and further production sites in the UK, Czech Republic and Poland.
Its product range includes glass prestige spirits bottles, glass containers for perfumery & personal care, pharmaceutical glass as well as tableware items.
In-house decoration facilities offer decoration techniques such as metallizing, UV-printing and hot foil stamping.
