Finnish firm Tamglass has announced record orders for November 2000. According to the company, the orders were worth a total of FM 120 million. For the 11 months to the end of November, the aggregate value of all orders received was approximately 65% higher than in the corresponding period in 1999. The company also stated that the strong demand for Tamglass safety glass production lines and machines continued in December. The orders, with deliveries scheduled in the summer and autumn of 2001, originate from the architectural and automotive glass industries in the company“s major market areas: North and South America, the Far East and Europe. Net sales for Tamglass in the year 2000 are expected to grow by more than 20%, with a significant improvement in the operating result compared to 1999.
