India“s Tata Group is planning to set up a 200 MW greenfield power plant in the Western state of Gujarat, reported the Financial Express on 18 April. The group already has a 55 MW power plant in Mithapur that takes care of its power requirements for the cement and soda ash facilities. The gas-based facility is expected to cost about 2 billion rupees (US$ 1 = INR 46.84) and is due to be commissioned in October this year.
