Tempco celebrates grand opening of new plant

Tempco Glass Fabrication inaugurated its new, 20,000-square-foot factory, located in Flushing, N.Y., on 22 March. The expected total investment in the plant, equipment and vehicles will ultimately reach several million dollars.

Tempco Glass Fabrication celebrated the inauguration of its 20,000-square-foot, Flushing, N.Y. factory on 22 March. When fully operational, the plant is expected to employ 25 to 30 people and produce 12,000 square feet to 15,000 square feet of tempered glass per day.
The expected total investment in the plant, equipment and vehicles will ultimately reach several million dollars, according to a Tempco release.
Tempco provides a variety of glass fabrication services including tempering, cutting, drilling, notching and edge polishing.
“I am extremely proud that Tempco is now officially open for business. Since our launch a few short months ago, we have renovated the building, installed production machinery, constructed office space and set up computers and software systems,” said Steven Powell, general manager, in the release. “We are now ready to provide glass shops and glaziers throughout the New York metro area with the high quality, competitively priced services they need and deserve.”
