India-based Triveni Glass has announced that it has received approval from its shareholders to sell its Meerut unit. In January 2010, the board of the company gave its OK for the sale to Japan-based Nipro Corporation for a total consideration of INR 20 crore. Most of the proceeds from the sale will be used to settle dues of IDBI and other bankers. Triveni Glass offers a wide range of flat glass products for construction, automobile, pharmaceutical furniture, and solder and railway sectors.
